I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University and post-graduate psychoanalytic psychotherapeutic training from The Training Institute for Mental Health in New York City. In addition, I have twenty years of professional experience.
I bring my personality to my work with you, as a naturally sensitive, intuitive, compassionate, sincere, caring, and non-judgmental person. I will form a deep bond with you and will commit to your wellbeing, and join you on your journey. We will be a team and you will not feel or be alone. Our relationship is the foundation from which our work together will blossom. I will provide you with the tools you need to continue your journey in a more fulfilling and healthier way, long after our work is complete. Thank you for the honor of allowing me to get to know you intimately and to experience your growth.
My Approach
I do not subscribe to any particular therapeutic modality, but rather integrate a more holistic approach, drawing upon an eclectic mix of Relational Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Object Relations, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. My work is specific to you as a unique individual and what is most effective in addressing your particular issue or issues.
I work with people on both a short-term, solution focused basis, as well as on a long term, insight oriented basis. Many of my patients have been with me for several years, and some have left and return when and as needed.
